Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The Anti-Corruption Agency of Uzbekistan has identified legal violations in the tender conducted by UzAuto Motors.

It was revealed that on 8 July, the company held a tender for the purchase of components for Nexia 2 cars, with an initial amount set at 1.5 billion soums.

Two companies participated in the tender: "Eco Cement Complete Equipment" and "Ecolit Metal". Ultimately, the former won with 100 points and a price proposal of 1.3 billion soums.

The director of Eco Cement Complete Equipment is Askarov Abdurahim Mutalovich, while the competitor, Ecolit Metal, is headed by Mutalipov Anvarjon Abdurahim oglu.

During the verification process, it was discovered that the directors and founders of these companies are relatives, indicating that these companies are affiliated entities.

As a result of violating several requirements of the Law on Public Procurement, the customer was instructed to annul the procurement results.

The gathered documents have been forwarded to the appropriate authority for judicial review.

UzAuto Motors has stated that a tender was held on the etender.uzex.uz platform; however, no contracts were concluded with any of the participants in the specified selection process.
