Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, another round of Uzbek-Turkmen political consultations with the participation of the foreign ministers of the two countries took place in Tashkent.

It was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and other officials.

The parties exchanged views on the further development of Uzbek-Turkmen relations of strategic partnership and alliance, increasing bilateral trade and intensifying economic cooperation.

“The main topic of our agenda was to further expand the deep strategic partnership between our two countries. We emphasized that the leaders of 🇺🇿🇹🇲 are laying a solid foundation for continuing the high positive dynamics in our relations. During the political consultations held today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, we reviewed our goals in all areas of cooperation, as well as issues on the regional agenda. It was proposed to establish regular exchanges between the relevant departments of the two ministries,” noted Bakhtiyor Saidov in his Telegram channel.
