Anor instant payment system launched

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has developed the Anor instant payment system, which allows real-time interbank money transfers between legal entities and individual entrepreneurs and is available 24/7 (without breaks on weekends and holidays days).

The Anor system is built on the basis of Web services technology using an electronic digital signature, which allows the users to make interbank payments on a round-the-clock basis based on the payment instruction of payers using remote banking systems. This eliminates the need to visit the banking office, and the funds received to the beneficiary's account through this payment system become available at the time of receipt for further payments.

Testing of this system, in which a number of commercial banks participate, including Hamkorbank, Trustbank, Ipotekabank, Turkistonbank, was initiated by the Central Bank at the end of 2019. Pilot operation was launched on 18 February  2020. In the first two days alone, over a thousand payments totaling almost 20 billion soums have already been made through the system.

During February-March of this year, a phased connection of other banks of the republic is planned for the pilot project of the Anor system.
