The presentation was attended by the head of Google Android One project Fiona Lee and other officials of Google and its partner General Mobile.

During the event, the guests of the event received information on peculiarities of new smartphone, its functions and advantages.

General Mobile and GGL (Uzbekistan) signed an agreement of cooperation on production of mobile handsets Android One in Tashkent in August 2015. The signing of agreement was initiated by Google.

GGL is a local producer of modern smartphones under Artel trademark. The company produces such handsets as Perfect 1 and Sentinel X.

President of General Mobile Sebahattin Yaman presented the smartphone. He noted that Android One is a successful development of Google with convenient functions. The smartphone has two advantages. First, it has maximum number of convenient Google tools and secondly, it automatically updates Android to latest version.

Sebahattin Yaman noted that Android One has many functions and tools. Refined design with modern technologies makes it irreplaceable assistant in daily life. Android One will be realized across Uzbekistan, including regions, on affordable price, he added.

During the event, the guests received chance to test Google smartphone and receive answers to their questions. Android One presentation attracted interest of the public.

The device has 64-bit processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 with quadcore processor ARM Cortex A53 and graphic controller Adreno 306. The device will have 2 GB RAM and flash module of 16 GB.

The smartphone works on operating system Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with the guaranteed update within two years and will support 4G LTE networks.

The device is equipped with 5 inch sensor display with resolution of 1280x720. The display will be protected with Gorilla Glass4. The smartphone will have 5 megapixel frontal camera and 13 megapixel main camera with LED flash.

Google chose the Uzbek market as dynamic market and conditions created to foreign investors. Google also took into account experience of Artel, its production base and excellent management. Google determined that close cooperation with the domestic manufacturer Artel, is a priority in Uzbekistan to implement their plans.
