Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Ancient artifacts, including books, coins, and weapons dating back to the 11th and 14th centuries, have been discovered the Namangan region. This was reported by the press service of the Namangan regional administration.
According to information from the administration, the "Yangi Ahsi" complex in the Ahsikent archaeological park has been enriched with ten new exhibits. Among them were rare swords from the 11th and 14th centuries, coins from Bactria and China, and ancient books that belonged to the medieval thinker Abu Nasr al-Farabi.
Experts note that the 11th-century sword was found in a combat-ready condition and was made of hardened steel by masters from Ahsikent, known for their skill in processing both soft and hard steel. The second weapon, dating back to the 14th century, was used during the reign of Amir Temur.
The Bactrian coin dates from the period between 475 and 600 AD, while the Chinese coin belongs to the 19th century.
In addition, three rare books of scientific, philosophical, and historical content containing unique knowledge were discovered.
