Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Uzbek citizen Robert Babayants, who had been on the wanted list since 2021, has been detained in Istanbul, Türkiye.

The arrest was carried out as part of a joint operation conducted by the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Türkiye and Uzbekistan.

According to reports, the 38-year-old Robert Babayants is suspected of committing a series of fraudulent actions that caused substantial financial damage to citizens.

Victims of this individual’s activities are urged to contact the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, or local law enforcement agencies.
