Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 March, a solemn opening ceremony of the ice complex Humo Arena will take place in Tashkent.

“Humo Arena will be a universal sports facility. Here you can hold competitions not only in hockey, but also in such winter sports as short track, figure skating, curling, speed skating. In addition, the arena allows to host tournaments in handball, basketball, volleyball, judo, boxing, weightlifting, futsal and other sports. In the coming years, we plan to hold adult world championships in Olympic sports in this complex together with sports federations and associations,” Zhasur Matchanov, representative NOC Uzbekistan, said.

“The opening ceremony will long remain in the memory of sports fans. More than 2 thousand participants will be involved in it, and more than 6 thousand guests are invited. At the event we invited the Olympic silver medalist Pavel Bure, the Olympic champion Vitaly Prokhorov. In addition, the participation of the Olympic champion in Turin, Tatiana Navka, is expected to attend the event. Philip Kirkorov, Nikolay Baskov, Dima Bilan are expected to participate,” the organizer of the opening ceremony of the Humo Arena ice complex Madina Tursunova said.
