Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Central Bank, together with the Center for Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training for Islamic Countries (SESRIC, a subsidiary body of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation), organized a five-day webinar on the topic “Islamic Finance Tools” for Central bank and a number of commercial banks.

The training was conducted by the Director of the Department of Islamic Economics and Financing of the Central Bank of Indonesia - Dr. Dadang Muljavan Satria.

During the training, participants were explained in detail the principles and methodologies used in the development and diversification of Islamic financial instruments in the banking system, in the capital and insurance markets.

The issues of risk management and the organization of supervision by the regulator - the central bank, as well as measures of macroprudential and fiscal policies, implying a systematic approach to the regulation of the financial system, were studied in detail.

During the discussions, participants got an opportunity to get acquainted with the experience of the Republic of Indonesia in the effective implementation of Islamic finance, including the challenges facing the Central Bank and other regulators
