Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An investor from Kuwait plans to implement a project to create and equip a diagnostic laboratory for a public medical institution in Ferghana region free of charge.

The khokim of Ferghana region, Khairullo Obzov, received the Kuwaiti delegation led by the chairman of the boards of Gulf Care General Trade and Energy Solutions.

At the meeting, prospects for cooperation in the fields of medicine and pharmaceuticals, energy and the mining industry were discussed.

The parties also exchanged views on the implementation of investment, trade and economic projects.

The Kuwaiti businessman said that he wants to implement in the near future a project to create and equip a diagnostic laboratory for a state medical institution in Ferghana region free of charge. The building of the Ferghana regional branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Center for Maternal and Child Health has been allocated for the project.

In addition, the investor plans to implement a large silk processing project in the city of Ferghana and export silk fabrics and products.
