Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting of the senior business consultant of Helsinki Business Hub, international expert Ms. Maria Hartikainen (Finland) with the management of the Digital Trust Development Fund "Digital Trust" and the Directorate of Innovation Center to support the development and implementation of information technologies Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation Center (MUIC) was held at the National Project Management Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Currently, Finland is among the top 5 most innovative, open and most developed digital economies in the world and, according to Maria Hartikainen, this has become possible thanks to an open environment, innovative infrastructure and transparency of work. The government organization Helsinki Business Hub promotes business development in the metropolitan area, monitors promising start-ups and helps them start a business in Helsinki.

Maria Hartikainen noted that recently the Helsinki Business Hub has helped young entrepreneurs from many different countries and, if a startup has practical value and a global idea, it can “fly” in just a few months. She also told about the principles on which the work of the Finnish hub is based and what tools are used to attract funding for projects and their scaling.

In the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Ms. Maria Hartikainen also held a meeting with entrepreneurs and residents of MUIC on the development, financing of start-ups and start-up ecosystems. Residents of MUIC spoke about their start-ups and received valuable advice from an expert on their development and raising funds.

It should be underlined that the meetings are organized by the UNDP office in Uzbekistan within the framework of the Startup-initiative program.
