Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 11 March at 14:10, an explosion of a gas-air mixture occurred in the laboratory of workshop No. 25 at JSC "Navoiy Azot" in the city of Navoi, according to the press service of Uzbekistan's Ministry of Emergency Situations.

As a result of the explosion, a fire broke out, which fire and rescue teams localized at 14:20 and fully extinguished by 14:50.

One person was killed in the incident, and 11 others were injured. The injured are receiving qualified medical assistance.

A pre-investigation check is being conducted regarding the incident.
