An exhibition of photographers of the Turkic world opened in the capital

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 19 July, an exhibition dedicated to the work of photographers from member countries of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) was held at the Tashkent House of Photography.

The exhibition was attended by Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Bakhodir Ahmedov and Secretary General of TURKSOY Sulton Raiyev, members of the media and the general public.

As you know, these days, in order to widely promote the rich cultural and tourism opportunities of Uzbekistan, in the member states of TURKSOY, with the participation of 21 qualified photographers from 14 foreign countries, a trip around the country was organized for representatives of delegations within the framework of the “Meeting Photographers of the Turkic World” project.

As part of the project “Meeting Photographers of the Turkic World”, on 30 June - 20 July 2023, information tours were organized for representatives of delegations and 21 qualified photographers to places of interest, cultural heritage sites, tourist villages and family guest houses of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Tashkent, Andijan, Ferghana, Jizzakh, Samarkand, Navoi, Bukhara, Khorezm regions and the city of Tashkent.

During the trip of the delegation around our country and filming, extensive information media content about our country was prepared.

This exhibition featured 100 of the best photographs about Uzbekistan and will be open for 5 days.

After the exhibition, in the afternoon, a briefing for media representatives took place in the building of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as well as photographers.

In places where representatives of the delegation visited and filmed, stage performances were arranged reflecting the ethnographic customs of the area (wedding ceremonies, national games, etc.), concert programs with the participation of performers of national musical art, folklore and dance groups.
