Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the People’s Republic of China, the “First Uzbek Conference on Cooperation and Interaction in the Field of Trade, Culture and Tourism” was held in the city of Urumqi, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.

This event was held in the Registan pavilion, opened in November 2023, in Hongguan Park, which was erected with the cooperation of the Tourism Committee and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China.

The conference was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee D. Abdusalamov, the khokim of Tashkent region Z. Mirzaev and the khokim of the city of Samarkand F. Umarov, the head of the trade department of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Liu Boa, the director of the Tianjin Trade Bureau Li Zhang, the president of the Xinjiang Chamber of Commerce -Tianjin Ling Chen and other officials.

This event was also attended by entrepreneurs and representatives of travel companies from all regions of our country. It provided information about the rich culture, tourism and investment attractiveness of Uzbekistan, as well as the reforms carried out in the field of tourism in recent years.

It should be noted that in recent years, bilateral ties in trade, economics, tourism and other areas have been strengthening between China and Uzbekistan. The main purpose of these meetings is to introduce business entities of both sides and increase the flow of tourists from China to our country.
