Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An Air India plane flying from Delhi to Chicago made an emergency landing at Tashkent International Airport. This was reported by the press service of Uzbekistan Airports.

During the flight, one of the passengers, an 86-year-old woman, became ill due to heart problems. The crew of the aircraft decided to land at the nearest alternate airfield.

At 06:44, the Air India aircraft successfully landed at Tashkent airport.

The passenger and her accompanying person were taken by ambulance to the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care, Uzbekistan Airports reported.

The plane is currently preparing to take off from Tashkent airport.
