Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 14 June 2024, in Beijing (China), Uzbekneftegaz JSC and China Petroleum Engineering and Construction Corporation (CPECC) signed an agreement aimed at increasing the production of high-quality gasoline.

The agreement covers Pre EPC work, including the development of a basic design for energy resources and general plant facilities based on documents provided by the technology licensor.

In April 2024, the Bukhara Refinery signed an agreement with the technology licensor, Axens, to develop a package of project documentation.

The Government of Uzbekistan decided to switch to the production of high-octane Euro-5 gasoline and abandon AI-80 Euro-2 gasoline. This will be achieved through the modernization of the Bukhara Oil Refinery.

The project provides for the production of high-octane gasoline AI-92 and AI-95 of Euro-5 class in the volume of 60% and 40%, respectively. The project is planned to be implemented in Fast-Track mode with parallel design and construction.
