Ammofos-Maxam to pay 10,891.14 soums of dividends per share
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- General shareholders meeting of Ammofos-Maxam open joint stock company adopted decision to pay dividends for 2010.

Shareholders of the company distributed net income for 2010 at the size of 14.345 billion soums, the company disclosed.

In particular, Ammofos-Maxam will direct 75% of net income or 10.759 billion soums to payment of dividends. The size of dividend per share makes up 10,891.14 soums. At the same time, the company already paid 2 billion soums as interim dividends and the company will pay additional 8,866.59 soums per share.

Number of ordinary shares, on which dividends are paid, makes up 987,872, the company said. The par value of shares is 5,000 soums.

Ammofos-Maxam will direct 5% of net income or 717.27 million soums to reserve fund and 1% or 143.454 million soums to Fund on labour and technical security.

Fund for modernization of new technologies will receive 1% of net income or 143.454 million soums, while other 18% will be directed to development of production.

Ammofos-Maxam open joint stock company is located in Almalyk, Tashkent region. The plant was commissioned in 1969. The enterprise is the largest producer of nitrogenous phosphatic mineral fertilizers in Uzbekistan. It meets 85% of demand of agriculture sector in phosphate fertilizers.

Spain’s Maxam Corp. acquired 49% stake in Ammofos-Maxam OJSC for US$18 million in January 2008. It also undertook investment obligation for US$30 million, which will be directed to modernization of existing capacities.
