In the article, published in Pravda Vostoka newspaper, Bakhodir Sadykov said that the company adopted a programme on modernizations, which envisages construction of NPF-fertilizers production plant with the capacity of 160,000 tonnes a year. Uzbekistan currently does not produce NPK-fertilizers. It is planned to export 70,000 tonnes of product.
It is also planned to increase capacity of production of ammophos by 12%. The projects within the programme will be financed due to resources of shareholders of the enterprise and foreign loans.
He said that the company also localized production of spare parts for chemical pumps, which earlier imported from Russia.
In the first quarter of 2013, Ammofos-Maxam produced goods for 49.8 billion soums. The growth rate made up by 17.8%. It produced 106,939 tonnes of mineral fertilizers.
Ammofos-Maxam is a largest chemical enterprise in Uzbekistan. In February 2009, Spain’s MaxamCorp SAU purchased 49% stake of the company under investment obligation for US$30 million.
The company exports products to Poland, Croatia, Romania, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Hungary and Moldavia and other countries.
