Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Amendments to the Constitution of Uzbekistan envisag a provision prohibiting re-election to certain government positions more than twice in a row.

According to the Yuksalish nationwide movement, the President of Uzbekistan, the speaker of the Legislative Chamber and the chairman of the Senate can be elected to these positions only twice.

This measure also applies to:

chairman of the regional, district, city Kengash of people's deputies;

khokim;

Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court;

Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council;

Chairman of the Central Election Commission;

Prosecutor-General.
