Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, changes were made to some regulatory legal acts in connection with the harmonization of the national legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the agreements of the World Trade Organization.

Respectively:

it has been established that mandatory marking in the state language of imported consumer goods is now carried out both by the authorized person of the manufacturer and by importers (previously - only by the manufacturer);

A legal adviser to an organization of legal advisers may give advice on international law.

The Standards Institute of Uzbekistan of the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation ensures compliance with the requirements of the Code of Good Practices of the World Trade Organization in relation to the Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade in the development, approval and application of standards.

This resolution shall enter into force on 1 January 2024.
