Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  During the 59th plenary session, the Senate reviewed the Law "On Amendments and Additions to the Tax and Customs Codes of the Republic of Uzbekistan."

The law provides tax and customs benefits for communication operators when importing technical means for operational investigative activities into the republic.

According to the amendment to the Tax Code, technical means for operational investigative activities, imported into the republic by a specially authorized state body, will be exempt from taxation and will not be subject to tax.

Additionally, the Customs Code will be amended to include provisions for tariff benefits, specifically exempting the aforementioned technical means from customs duties.

Moreover, military cargo from other agencies, which involve military service, will also be exempt from customs clearance fees.

Senators emphasized that this law further improves the procedure for utilizing established tax and customs benefits when importing technical means for operational investigative activities into the republic and enhances the effectiveness of these activities.

After discussion, the law was approved by the senators.
