Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Kengash (Council) of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis decided to appoint Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Kuwait and Qatar.

Ayubkhon Yunusov will head the diplomatic mission in Kuwait. Prior to this appointment, he worked at the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Jeddah.

Ashraf Khojaev will head the diplomatic mission in Qatar. Prior to this appointment, he served as head of the Main Department of Foreign Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Doha, the capital of Qatar, was opened in December 2023.
