Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 19 April 2019, a presentation of the tourist potential of Uzbekistan was held in the city of Kangar, the administrative center of the Malaysian state of Perlis, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.
The presentation was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia with the assistance of the State Committee for Tourism Development and the Ambassador of Tourism of Uzbekistan, Mufti of the Mohd state Asri Bin Zaynul Abidina in the Alvi central mosque in the framework of the gathering of representatives of the Muslim state of Perlis in Kangar.
The national stand of Uzbekistan was presented to the attention of visitors and honored guests of the event, where participants could familiarize themselves with the cultural, historical and spiritual heritage of our country, as well as with the ongoing large-scale reforms in the development of the tourism industry.
Following the event, an agreement was reached with the Malaysian tourism company MKM Ticketing Travel & Tours to send, starting from July this year, on a monthly basis, groups of 100-150 pilgrim tourists to Uzbekistan headed by the mufti of the Perlis state.
