Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Alisher Abdusalomov met with Kim Yong-gu, Chairman of Shindong Resources and the Korea-Uzbekistan Business Association, Dunyo news agency reported.

During the meeting, Kim Yong-gu thanked the Government of Uzbekistan for its ongoing support of the Korea-Uzbekistan Business Association’s activities and Shindong Resources’ projects. He emphasized his readiness for rapid expansion of trade and economic relations between the two countries.

The Uzbek Ambassador provided the South Korean side with information about recent reforms in Uzbekistan aimed at supporting foreign investors.

It was noted that with the support of the Korea-Uzbekistan Business Association, significant projects are actively being implemented in Uzbekistan. These include the construction of the "International Gulistan City" complex in the Syrdarya region by the Evervolution consortium, the development of a multi-story business center and hotel-residential complex with Somang Development, and projects to establish a branch of the South Korean Sun Moon University in the Syrdarya region.

Furthermore, to boost interregional trade, economic, and investment cooperation, the association, together with the Embassy, is preparing to organize business forums in the regions of Uzbekistan this year.
