Current state of affairs and ways of intensifying bilateral cooperation in political, economic, cultural-humanitarian spheres were on the agenda, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

The parties noted that they regard each other as perspective economic partners. For instance, the bilateral trade volume in 2011 reached almost US$100 million, which is one thirds more than in the previous year.

Meetings with participation of a large group of Dutch business representatives, who are visiting the country with the Ambassador will pave the way for mutually advantageous investment projects and extension of trade links, the parties said.

Taking into account an immense interest by the Dutsch people in Uzbekistan, in particular in its world-famous historical centers such as Samarqand, Bukhara and Khiva, the intention of tourist companies from two countries to intensify contacts was supported.

During the meeting the parties affirmed their interest in developing Uzbek-Dutsch dialogue, giving it a comprehensive character.
