The Ambassador presented his credentials to the Minister, who congratulated him on his new appointment to Uzbekistan and wished fruitful work, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospective areas of cooperation in a bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations.
Ian Alexander Hill, previously was accredited in Uzbekistan as Ambassador of New Zealand in 2009-2012, shared his suggestions for further development of cooperation.
At the meeting, special attention was paid to formation of the regulatory and legal framework for trade and economic relations, which will allow for the intensification of mutually beneficial contacts between the business circles of the two countries.
The sides also exchanged views on some issues of international and regional policy.
