The Ambassador handed the copies of his credentials, addressed to President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the talks the parties reflected on the state and prospectives of developing Uzbek-Belgian relations on bilateral basis and within the Uzbekistan-EU cooperation framework, as well as within international organisations.

The proposals by the parties on deepening inter-parliamentarian ties and contacts in other spheres were considered.

It was noted that the existing most-favoured nation treatment in bilateral trade presents real opportunites for substantial enhancement of trade-economic cooperation. Implementation of joint investment projects in processing of agricultural goods, textile, food, pharmaceutical, chemical, electronics and other industrial areas as well as in tourism is of mutual interest.

The sides also exchanged views on international and regional problems.
