In the second round Akgul Amanmuradova outplayed Lyudmyla Kichenok of Ukraine in straight sets 6-1 and 6-2, while Nigina Abduraimova defeated Russia’s Alexandra Panova with the score 2-6, 6-3 and 6-4.

Akgul Amanmuradova and Nigina Abduraimova will face each other in quarterfinals, which will ensure that Uzbekistan will be represented in semifinals.

Bojana Jovanovski of Serbia defeated Alla Kudryatseva of Russia with the score 7-6(6), 3-6, 6-3 and Urszula Radwanska(Poland) beat Donna Vekic of Serbia with the score 6-3, 6-3.

Olga Govortsova of Belarus outclassed Misaki Doi of Japan with the score 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, while Karin Knapp of Italy defeated Aliaksandra Sasnovich (Belarus) with the score 6-2 and 6-3.

Ksenia Pervak of Russia defeated Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia with the score 6-2 and 7-6. Lesia Tsurenko of Ukraine beat Irina-Camelia Begu of Romania with the score 3-6, 6-1, 7-6(3).
