ALSKOM to raise charter capital to 7.91 billion soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Shareholders of insurance company ALSKOM adopted decision to increase charter capital of the insurer to 7.917 billion soums.

The company’s press service said that the shareholders adopted decision to increase charter capital from 5.737 billion soums to 7.917 billion soums.

ALSKOM will increase the nominal value of shares from 1,000 soums to 1,380 soums due to part of net income for 2013.

The company said that it increased number of signed insurance agreement twice in 2013 compared to 2012 – to 337,322 units. This was achieved due to cooperation with Uzbekistan Pochtasi (Uzbekistan Post) on realization of insurance policies.

Over 90% of signed agreements fell to share of individuals, which shows diversification of the activities of the company and development of retail sales.

The company said that it increased collection of insurance premiums by 45% year-on-year in 2013. About 84.4% of insurance premiums were collected by branches of the company in the regions of Uzbekistan.

ALSKOM collected main part of the insurance premiums from property insurance, transport insurance, insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners.

The company said it made insurance payouts for 1.3 billion soums in 2013, which rose twice in 2012.

Total volume of income in the reporting period rose by 6.8 billion soums in 2013 compared to 2012 and the business plan for 2013 was executed with 15.2% surplus.

Net income of the company rose by 4.6 times in 2013 compared to 2012. The profitability made up 24.1% in 2013.
