Alokabank specialists visit Germany
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A group of specialists of Alokabank paid a visit to Germany in late November, the press service of Uzbek bank said.

The press service said that the delegation visited many cities of Germany, including Bonn and Frankfurt.

The delegation visited several commercial banks of Germany to familiarize with their activities, the Uzbek bank said.

Alokabank was founded in line with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan from 12 October 1994 in order to ensure economic growth and financial support of the enterprises of the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information and small and private businesses.

The bank carries out banking activity in line with the license for conducting banking activity of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan from 13 August 2004 (replaces license from 22 March 1995) and license on operations with hard currency from 29 January 2005 (replaces license from 21 August 1996).

Among shareholders of the bank are Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information, Uzbekistan Pochtasi, Uzbektelecom and others.

Net income of Alokabank grew by 5.9% year-on-year in nine months of 2010 and reached 3.6 billion soums. The assets of Alokabank made up 312.4 billion soums as of 1 October 2010 or rose by 36.4% year-on-year. Capital of Alokabank rose from 43.7 billion in January-September 2009 to 55.8 billion soums in the reporting period of 2010.
