Almaty to host summit of leaders-founders of International Fund of Aral Rescue

The summit of the leaders of the states - founders of the International Fund of Aral Rescue will take place in Almaty on 28 April. The head of the press service of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Ilyas Omarov, informed at a weekly briefing on Monday, Kazakhstan Today agency reported.
According to the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the summit the officials will discuss the questions connected with the work of the fund, formation of the new structure of the authorized bodies of the fund - boards, executive committee and revision committee, activization of cooperation with the international organizations, and financial structures and the donors."
The chairman of the fund was elected for the next three years (2009 - 2011) by the decision of the leaders of the states - founders of the fund in the autumn of last year.
The founders of the fund are the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
