Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The head of the Milliy Tiklanish party, Alisher Kadyrov, said that he is not a Russophobe, but is a “Soviet phobe.”

In his Telegram channel, he noted that Russia is a “big and powerful neighbor.”

The politician emphasized that he had never denied the benefits of learning the Russian language, along with other languages, for the youth of Uzbekistan.

In his opinion, Uzbeks of other nationalities should learn the Uzbek language for a prosperous life in their home country.

Kadyrov also admitted that he is a “Soviet phobe” and added that the history of the USSR should remain on the “black pages of history” of Uzbekistan.

Regarding the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Kadyrov noted that any war ends with agreements. He emphasized that sound governance does not lead to war.
