Alisher Kadirov criticizes Ministry of Energy for weak communication strategy
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At a Milli Tiklanish party faction meeting, its leader Alisher Kadirov voiced dissatisfaction with the Ministry of Energy, criticizing the poor quality of its information policy.
According to Kadirov, the number of public complaints and misunderstandings regarding the energy sector has risen sharply, fueling widespread criticism on social media. He noted that the topic is being actively discussed not only by experts but also by people who lack any real knowledge of the issue.
The politician believes that one of the key reasons for this situation is the ministry’s failure to effectively communicate with the public. “Who will explain to citizens that 75% of our electricity is generated by burning gas? Who will inform them about issues in the power grid, the development of green energy, and the scope of ongoing projects?” Kadirov questioned.
It is worth noting that in late January, Kadirov had already raised the energy issue, urging the public to switch from gas heating to electricity. At the time, he argued that one cubic meter of gas could be processed into ten types of high-value export products, sold abroad, and help create millions of jobs in Uzbekistan.
