Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Alisher Kadirov, leader of the Milliy Tiklanish party, has proposed transitioning from gas to electricity for household heating and cooking.

According to Kadirov, a single cubic meter of gas can be used to produce up to ten types of high-value export products, which could be sold abroad to generate revenues that would create millions of jobs for citizens.

He shared his views on the matter via his Telegram channel, emphasizing the need to move away from using gas in the communal sector.

"A nation that consumes billions of cubic meters of gas for heating and cooking will struggle to achieve prosperity. We need to increase electricity production and learn to use electricity instead of gas," he stated.

Kadirov also expressed his support for initiatives promoting the exclusive use of electricity as the primary energy source in new residential buildings.
