Alibaba Group plans to open service centers in five regions of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Alibaba Group plans to open service centers in five regions of Uzbekistan.

It is planned to open service centers of the Alibaba.com trading platform in five regions of Uzbekistan. This was discussed at a meeting between the Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Aziz Voitov and a delegation led by Vice President for Strategic Development of Alibaba Group Chris Zou.

During the meeting, it was noted that Chinese entrepreneurs are interested in working with the private sector in our country. Currently, the Alibaba.com trading platform sells more than 8,000 goods produced by 118 food, agricultural, textile and other industries of Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture reports.

According to representatives of Alibaba, 43% of the products sold by Uzbek organizations on the trading floor are in the food and agricultural sector.

Also, attention was paid to the work of the Ministry of Agriculture on the strategic development of the Alibaba.com trading platform. In particular, for a sharp increase in the export of agricultural and food products of Uzbekistan, the following agreements were reached:

- provide online and offline practical assistance in obtaining the necessary certificates, permits and other documents for sale in the relevant country to exporting enterprises wishing to sell their products on the trading floor;

- open service centers in Namangan, Fergana, Jizzakh, Samarkand and Surkhandarya regions. In the centers, Uzbek exporters or enterprises that want to export will be given recommendations, as well as explaining how to make money on the trading platform.
