Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Shukhrat Kurbanov has been relieved of his position as Chairman of the Board of the Joint-Stock Company "National Interbank Processing Center" (Humo).

Aleksey Maksimov, who previously served as Deputy Chairman of the Board at JSC Octobank, has been appointed to this position.

It is worth noting that in January 2025, JSC Paynet acquired 100% of the state’s share in the National Interbank Processing Center (Humo) for US$65 million.

JSC Paynet is one of the largest fintech players in Uzbekistan, having operated for more than 18 years. The Paynet system facilitates payments for over 1,500 providers of goods and services, and its annual user base exceeds 20 million.

The national payment system Humo was established in September 2018 amid disruptions in the operation of the private processing center Uzcard. The primary aim of Humo’s creation was to ensure the stability of the national payment system and prevent market monopolization.
