Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 20 January 2025, the Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held talks with the Executive Director of the Saudi company Al Arkan, Mohammed al-Fassam.

The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of practical measures for the development and implementation of a comprehensive program aimed at ensuring safety and hygiene in food production processes and service delivery.

This program involves the creation of a national food quality control system, training specialists in the food industry on modern safety standards, implementing educational programs to enhance the quality of medical, tourism, and transportation services, modernizing infrastructure, and improving professional training.

Special attention was given to the fact that the implementation of this program will enable leading companies in Uzbekistan to significantly improve the quality of services and the production of high-quality goods. This, in turn, will drive the growth of both the domestic and export markets, strengthening the position of local products both within the country and abroad.

At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness for active cooperation, appointed responsible leaders, and agreed on specific steps for the accelerated implementation of the project.
