Al Ansar ready for record-breaking Nasaf
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Al Ansar will look to inch closer to the knockout stage of the AFC Cup when they entertain Nasaf at Sports City Stadium in Beirut on Wednesday but it will be no easy task against the record-breaking Uzbeks.

Nasaf set a new benchmark in the AFC Cup last week as they thrashed Indian side Dempo 9-0 in the AFC Cup, the biggest ever victory in the continental competition.

Ivan Boskovic scored four times in that rout and the striker will have to be closely watched by the home defence.

Al Ansar have six points to their name, six fewer than Nasaf who look set to win Group A but crucially three more than both Dempo and Al Tilal, who meet in Goa.

Any kind of positive result against the Uzbeks will therefore give the Lebanese side the upper hand going into their final game at Dempo.

Anatoly Demianenko's men just need a point to sew up a home tie in the last 16 but the Nasaf boss may choose to mix and match with the team flying high in the domestic league and the importance of utilising his full squad if they want to go deep into the tournament.
