Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Today, the concept of a new project for the construction of a modern market, "Aksiya Dehkon Bozori," in Yakkasaray district of Tashkent was presented.
Yakkasaray District Khokim (Mayor) Nilufar Allabergenova, in her speech, highlighted the current problems of the existing market, including inconveniences for buyers, a shortage of parking spaces, and the open location, which makes it difficult to visit the market during adverse weather conditions. Additionally, the existing conditions do not meet the needs of either entrepreneurs or local residents.
In response, the intention to reconstruct the market in a modern style was announced, aiming to improve conditions for all stakeholders.
Negotiations are underway with potential investors, and it is expected that the project will be implemented through the e-auksion platform.
Nilufar Allabergenova outlined the requirements for investors interested in the project. According to the agreed terms with Tashkent’s khokimiyat and other authorities, the new market should include an eco-friendly market with an area of at least 3,000 square meters, a refrigerated warehouse of no less than 1,200 square meters, and an underground parking lot with a minimum of 400 parking spaces, with the first floor being donated to the public.
The presented concept envisions the creation of an "eco-market" that will be not only convenient for local residents but also attractive to both foreign and local tourists.
The expected outcomes of the project include attracting $150 million in foreign direct investments, creating over 1,000 jobs, and enhancing the district’s infrastructure.
Near the new market, plans include the construction of a 4-star hotel and a large shopping complex that will meet international standards.
As part of the improvements, bicycle lanes, benches, and Wi-Fi zones will be provided for the convenience of visitors.
Special attention will be given to accessibility for people with disabilities, with escalators, ramps, modern restrooms, and 24-hour services being incorporated.
The "Aksiya Dehkon Bozori" project aims to create modern and comfortable conditions for both residents and entrepreneurs. It will also contribute to the sustainable development of the district, stimulate the local economy, and improve the quality of life.
Once the new market is completed, the agricultural market will be gradually relocated to the new site, which will not impact its functioning during the reconstruction.
This ambitious project is an important step in the development of Yakkasaray’s infrastructure, which will elevate the district to a new level. The new market will become a trade center, as well as a place where both residents and tourists can find all the necessary services in a comfortable environment.
