Akgun Energy plans to build a solar power plant in Surkhandarya region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Turkish company Akgun Energy plans to build a solar power plant with a capacity of 100 MW in Surkhandarya region.

The khokim of Surkhandarya region Ulugbek Kasimov received a delegation led by the general director of the Turkish company Akgun Energy, which is engaged in the construction of solar power plants, Kemal Gunay.

At the meeting, it was noted that cooperation relations between Uzbekistan and Türkiye are at a high level, and all conditions have been created for the business circles of the two countries to attract mutual investments and implement promising projects.

Turkish investors emphasized that sunny weather in the Surkhandarya region creates the necessary conditions for the introduction of renewable energy sources.

Representatives of the company proposed to implement a project to build a solar power plant with a capacity of 100 MW in the region.

The head of Surkhandarya region Ulugbek Kasimov noted that he is glad to jointly implement promising investment projects. He added that the necessary practical assistance will be provided to implement the project.

As a result of the negotiations, it was decided to consider the technical and economic possibilities of the project with the participation of experts from both sides and begin work to improve the project.
