The decision was adopted in line with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan “On measures on ordering realization of air transportation services” dated 1 August 2011.

According to the document, from 5 August 2011, the government introduces additional order, in line with which, airlines and their offices, as well as agents realize tickets to residents, if departure point starts outside Uzbekistan, and non-residents for flights only in hard currency.

The resolution said that the airlines and their agents will have to pay fine at the size of the ticket sum if they sell tickets in national currency.

The document added that if airlines and their agents refuse to pay fine on voluntary bases, tax bodies will sue them.
