Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During his visit to Georgia, Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov met with the Deputy Prime Minister of the country - Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili. 

The current state and prospects for the development of transport and logistics relations between the two countries were discussed at the meeting. In particular, the parties exchanged views on increasing the number of regular flights between Uzbekistan and Georgia and establishing flights to new destinations. Ilkhom Makhkamov supported the foreign party’s proposal to organize air service from Georgia to Samarkand.

During the negotiations, Levan Davitashvili expressed his readiness to create all conditions for the construction of ports and terminals on the Black Sea coast of Georgia with the participation of Uzbek entrepreneurs and to provide practical assistance in the effective use of existing ports.

The parties also agreed to increase the number of exchanges of permit forms during international transport.
