Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 21 March 2024, Air Samarkand begins regular flights in the direction Samarkand - Istanbul - Samarkand on an Airbus A321neo aircraft.

In the first phase, flights will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, to the largest airport in Istanbul (IST). Departures from Samarkand are scheduled for 8 am, return flights will depart from Istanbul at 12:30, arriving in Samarkand at 19:00 (local time indicated for each location).

Air Samarkand also announces the appointment of Zafar Butaev as General Director. He replaces Anton hKhodjayan in this post, who will continue to serve as a member of the Board of Directors and advisor to the airline, continuing to serve as General Director of Air Marakanda, which operates Samarkand International Airport.
