Air China Launches Direct Flights Between Beijing and Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — China’s national airline, Air China, is expanding its international route network and has entered the Uzbek market for the first time by launching regular direct flights on the Beijing – Tashkent – Beijing route.

The inaugural flight arrived at Tashkent International Airport on 19 July at 19:40. The crew and passengers of the Boeing 737 aircraft were greeted with a traditional water salute and flowers.

An Air China representative expressed confidence that the launch of direct flights between the capitals of China and Uzbekistan would mark an important step in strengthening trade, tourism, and cultural ties between the two countries. He emphasized the airline’s commitment to providing not just transportation, but also high levels of comfort, reliability, and service at every stage of the journey.

Umid Khamraev, First Deputy Director of Uzbekistan Airports Handling, noted that the arrival of Air China as a new partner is a major milestone for Tashkent Airport. He added that the route is expected to be in high demand and that all necessary conditions for quality service are already in place.

Flights will operate three times a week — on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Founded in 1988, Air China is the largest airline in the People’s Republic of China and its official national carrier. It is a member of the global Star Alliance and is headquartered at Beijing Capital International Airport.
