The Kazakh airline plans to start to fly between Almaty to Tashkent from 2 December 2010. The flights will be carried out on Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays.

According to the company, the fares start from 26,000 Kazakh tenge (US$176) in economy class and 78,000 tenge (US$528) in business class.

Air Astana was registered in 2001 and it carried out first flight between Almaty and Astana on 15 May 2002. The Kazakh government owns 51% in Air Astana and BAE Systems PLC (UK) - 49%.
