Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The integration of AI technologies is radically transforming business processes across industries. At the "AI Journey: Exploring the World of Artificial Intelligence" track during ICTWEEK in Tashkent, experts from Sber, AIRI, and the CRT Group discussed key trends in generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) and the future challenges ahead.
Denis Dimitrov, Managing Director of Data Research at Sberbank, highlighted how the world is progressing toward creating Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) with advances in generative models that can work with multiple types of data. These models, including services like Kandinsky, GigaChat, and OmniFusion, now generate text, images, audio, and video. He emphasized how these advancements are bringing us closer to AGI.
Evgeny Frolov from AIRI discussed the role of large language models (LLMs) in code generation and noted the limitations of such models in non-text domains. He proposed a solution using a combination of LLMs, recommendation systems, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to improve AI systems.
Elvira Chache from Sberbank outlined the global landscape of AI regulation, discussing ongoing efforts to balance technological growth with stakeholder interests. She pointed out key developments, such as the UN resolutions on AI and the Council of Europe’s framework for protecting human rights in the AI era.
Mikhail Voitko and German Mikhailov provided insights into the practical applications of LLMs in Russia, while Vladimir Popov from Sberbank’s Blockchain Lab discussed decentralized ID systems and their potential to revolutionize authentication without intermediaries.
