Agrobank, Sberbank launch the service of instant money transfer to national plastic cards of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Agrobank, together with the largest Russian bank Sberbank, launched the service of instant money transfer to national plastic cards of Uzbekistan.

For the first time in Uzbekistan, the domestic “Agrobank” and the Russian “Sberbank” introduced a new generation instant money transfer system: now, intermediaries are not needed to send money from Russia to Uzbekistan - when transferring Russian rubles will be automatically converted into Uzbek sums and credited to the recipient on a plastic card Agrobank.

This service was developed and introduced thanks to the cooperation of the two largest banks in Russia and Uzbekistan, and today the senders and recipients of the transfer no longer need to visit bank branches to send and receive money - money can now be sent from Russia to Uzbekistan 24 hours a day, without holidays and weekends. Also, transfers can be made through the Sberbank Online mobile applications.

Until now, sending money from Russia to Uzbekistan has been a long process, during which the sender had to first cash out the money from the card, then go to the nearest bank branch and send it using the money transfer system. In turn, the recipient also had to find the nearest bank branch and have time to collect money during the banking day.

Sberbank is one of the largest banks in providing modern banking services using innovative technologies, including remote banking. Sberbank also ranks first in Russia in the number of branches and the number of customers. And since at present the bulk of money transfers to Uzbekistan comes from the Russian Federation, the choice of this particular bank as a reliable partner for launching a new service was the most correct and obvious for us. We hope that together we will be able to work effectively for the benefit of the citizens of Uzbekistan both within the country and abroad, commented Azamat Turaev, Managing Director of Agrobank.
