Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 24 January, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Sarvarkhon Buzrukhonov, as part of his visit to the Republic of Korea, met with the rector of Seoul University Yongkul Von, the rector of the University of Puchong Han Chung Such, the president of the National Institute of International Education at Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea Ryo Hi Suk and President of Gyeongdong University Jon Li.

The parties came to agreements on the provision of grants to Uzbek scientists, funded by the National Institute of International Education under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea, the Startup Funding Center of Seoul University in Uzbekistan, and joint cooperation in the areas of urban planning, infrastructure and environmental protection.

A cooperation agreement was also signed between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and Puchong University, aimed at increasing the number of teacher internship programs and student and teacher exchange programs with Gyeongdong University, creating a center for Korean language culture, and providing educational grants to graduates of academic lyceums.
