Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- These days, a delegation of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia under the Government of Indonesia is in Uzbekistan to discuss prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation, exchange of experience in the field of tourism between Uzbekistan and Indonesia.
The members of the delegation were first acquainted with the sights of our country. After that, at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, they took part in bilateral negotiations aimed at strengthening relations in the field of tourism.
At the meeting between the First Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism U. Azamov and members of the delegation of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia, it was noted that Uzbek-Indonesian relations are developing at a high pace, cooperation is consistently strengthening in various fields, including in the field of culture and art, and tourism.
During the dialogue, agreements were reached on increasing the number of tourists entering our country from Indonesia, developing cooperation in the field of halal tourism, organizing special training courses and advanced training courses for receiving tourists from Indonesia with the participation of tourism associations and universities of Uzbekistan and Indonesia, increasing the number flights, holding the Days of Culture and Tourism of Uzbekistan in Indonesia in 2024.
They also discussed the preparation of a documentary film “In Search of Bukhara” about the life and work of Imam al-Bukhari and the visit of Indonesian President Sukarno to Uzbekistan and the organization of their screening in both countries.
