Agreement Signed to Establish GCI Gemological Centers Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An incorporation agreement has been signed in Tel Aviv between the Israeli company GCI Gemological Centers Ltd. and the Uzbek firm Expert One LLC to establish a gemological center, GCI Gemological Centers Uzbekistan, in Tashkent, the Dunyo news agency reported.

GCI Gemological Centers Ltd., headquartered in Tel Aviv — one of the world’s largest diamond trading hubs — specializes in the appraisal, certification, and training in the field of gemstones and diamonds.

The new center in Tashkent will provide professional gemological examinations, certify precious stones in accordance with GCI’s international standards, and offer educational programs in gemology. This will be the company’s first branch in Central Asia and its second worldwide.

According to GCI’s General Manager Yehuda Yakar, the decision to open a branch in Uzbekistan was the result of a thorough analysis of reforms carried out under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. He emphasized that key factors included an improved investment climate, the fight against corruption, growing international trust, and the active development of human capital.

The signing of the agreement was made possible thanks to the efforts of Nargiza Kadyrova, Head of the New Uzbekistan Trade and Investment House. Established in August 2024 with the support of Uzbekistan’s diplomatic mission, the House has already proven to be an important instrument for advancing large-scale trade, economic, and investment initiatives.
