Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on cooperation in the field of tourism from October 2017 entered into force on 1 August 2019.

The agreement is aimed at expanding mutual cooperation in the field of tourism to familiarize its citizens with the achievements in the field of science, social development, culture, nature and attractions, as well as historical monuments and cultural traditions of peoples.

In accordance with the Agreement, the parties will promote joint tourist routes and brands, such as the great silk road and others, through the organization of international conferences, forums, seminars, exhibitions, publications in the media.

The agreement envisages that the parties will facilitate the establishment of direct contacts between the enterprises of the tourism industry, attract investment in the development of tourism infrastructure.
